I will be posting about what I feel is an ideal program and explain that we don't live in a world of ideal and therefore I plan to also provide a practical option. Now to get everything into the ideal program would be a rather tedious endeavor so for the dietary portion I want to refer to the Standard Process Purification Program that I also offer in the office. I have seen some fantastic results with the entire program including a patient that dropped their cholesterol 80 points in the 21 days she was on the program. I would encourage anyone to use the Purification Program if they want a huge advantage in obtaining optimal health. Regardless of whether you want to use the Purification Program or not the dietary guidelines in the program are superb and I want to add that they are practical as well; not entirely easy, but still practical.

Keep It Up
I just wanted to give some extra encouragement to everyone. I am excited for the comments of each you about your successes. Weigh in will be late February so don't just jump on the scale all the time it doesn't do any good to be consumed with what it says - not to mention it isn't the official scale we use.
Some of the successes I've heard is simply feeling better. One of you made a huge step and gave up soda - that alone is awesome, but even more impressive is the huge improvement in water consumption. Great Job! I have heard others removing some barriers to better health - now lets focus on all the benefits. Zig Ziglar teaches this principle so beautifully. When we all think we're paying the price, he says,"you don't pay the price for good health, you enjoy the benefits of good health." So when it gets tough, as it will, think of the benefits. Improved memory, stamina, physic, playing with the kids or grand-kids, you can name the benefit you want to enjoy - focus on that. Keep it up, all you healthy and fit achievers. Dr. P
